Most programmes of German development cooperation in Uganda are funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development.
GIZ is the implementing agency for Germany's Technical Cooperation. Its activities are mainly targeted on policy advice and capacity development. This includes the deployment of technical advisers as well as human resource development and training activities.
KfW Development Bank and DEG are both entities of the state-owned KfW Bankengruppe. While DEG supports the private sector as a driver of development, KfW Development Bank is in charge of bilateral Financial Cooperation on behalf of the German Government, providing funds for development investments.
