Processing of personal data during the visa applications process

Applications for Schengen visas are summitted to the external visa service provider TLScontact and forwarded to the German Embassy Kampala. This visa service provider processes personal data as a processor in line with Art. 28 General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) on behalf of the Federal Foreign Office. The Federal Foreign Office remains responsible for data processing (see 1.). The processor ensures that your data is processed in accordance with the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) as well as that your rights are protected. For this purpose, the Federal Foreign Office has concluded a contract with the processor that contains the requirements of Article 28 (3) Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and ensures the careful handling of your data.
