09.11.1989, Fall of the Berlin Wall at the Brandenburger Tor in Berlin. That was the night of the Germans: Thousands celebrate the fall of the Wall and the opening of the borders in Berlin in front of the Brandenburger Tor. People climb the wall and hoist the German flag.

On the evening of November 9, 1989, SED member Schabowski announced that all GDR borders into the Federal Republic and West Berlin would be opened to GDR citizens. As a result, within a few hours, thousands of People from East Berlin flooded the border crossings leading into the western part of the city, where people from East and West Germany celebrated the entire night.
