As a development partner of Uganda, Germany has been and remains committed to supporting the Ugandan Government and the Ugandan people in moving forward on the development path towards becoming a middle-income Country. You find an overview of German Organisations in Uganda here.

Over the past decades, Uganda has made significant strides towards social and economic development. The National Development Plan (NDP), covering the period of 2010 - 2015, details the way forward. As a development partner of Uganda, Germany has been and remains committed to supporting the Ugandan Government and the Ugandan people in implementing these strategies and in moving forward on the development path towards becoming a middle-income country.

Most programmes of German development cooperation in Uganda are funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development.

Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ)

GIZ is the implementing agency for Germany's Technical Cooperation. Its activities are mainly targeted on policy advice and capacity development. This includes the deployment of technical advisers as well as human resource development and training activities.

KfW Bankengruppe

KfW Development Bank and DEG are both entities of the state-owned KfW Bankengruppe. While DEG supports the private sector as a driver of development, KfW Development Bank is in charge of bilateral Financial Cooperation on behalf of the German Government, providing funds for development investments.
