Minister of Finance, Planning and Economic Development, Hon. Matia Kasaija, and the Amabssador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Uganda, Dr. Albrecht Conze, signed the Technical and Financial Cooperation Agreements of 2017 and 2018.

On 15th August 2019 the Minister of Finance, Planning and Economic Development, Hon. Matia Kasaija, and the Amabssador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Uganda, Dr. Albrecht Conze, signed the Technical and Financial Cooperation Agreements of 2017 and 2018. The two Technical Cooperation Agreements worth 42.5 mio EUR and Financial Cooperation  worth 105 mio EUR will complement the ongoing support from the German Government to Uganda in the following sectors: Energy, water and sanitation, accountability and support to refugees and their host communities.

The Minister of Finance, Planning and Economic Development noticed that the objectives of the programmes supported are aligned with the National Development Plan (NDPII) and will support to the implementation of the objectives of the NDP II which is currently still under preparation. He further confirmed to the German government that Uganda will fulfill their obligations under these Agreements.
